It all started when Dawn Elenbaas, a missionary who is now in her 21st year of protecting and supporting the cause of abandoned children in Romania, saw the need for an early intervention day care center to help children between 0 and 6 years old and their families.
In 2017, together with Cristi Bulica (Financial advisor) and Alina Birgean (Parent of adopted child with special needs), the Little Treasures Association was created, thus constituting the legal framework for the dream to become a reality. Later Ina Bulzan (Psychologist and adoptive mother) and Paul Tuțac (Doctor in Genetics) joined the team.
After a period of prayer and research, in January 2019 Marius Badescu joined the project as coordinator of the Day Center and things began to take shape.
In March 2019 we found the right location but, as you can see in the pictures, it needed a significant ‘facelift’. A few months of intense work follow, during which the Association also receives the Accreditation Certificate as a social care provider.
